New Dog Yard Photos
I took some pictures of the dogs in
the yard yesterday. (posted below).
The dogs are doing great. With the exception of Jr, who I'm
giving a little extra time off to for sure heal, everyone is
back running.
It is likely that my Taiga 300 race team will come from a pool
of 14 of my Iditarod dogs, as they are all strong and healthy
and the rest have been laid off for about 3 weeks. The challenge
in training them this next week or so will be to try and get
some speed back into them. They learn to pace and conserve
themselves on Iditarod and now I need to convince them we aren't
going to go 700 or so miles in this race.
